About the Show

The Reluctant Dragon is a charming story of a gentle, poetry-loving dragon befriending a curious village boy. When the townspeople discover the dragon’s presence, panic ensues — until the boy and the legendary St. George show everyone that not all dragons are meant to be feared.

Filled with humor, heart, and colorful characters, The Reluctant Dragon is a celebration of kindness, understanding, and standing up for what’s right.

Spring Theater Schedule: January 5 - April 20

Rehearsals

Every Monday and Wednesday, 3:10–4:45 PM

Rehearsals will be moved to the Purple Box Theater during the week before the performances. If needed, we may also schedule an additional rehearsal that week.

Performance Dates

April 17 and 18 (Evening Performances)
Performances will take place at the Purple Box Theater. We may add a Sunday matinee if tickets sell out quickly!

Casting & Theater Tech

Every student will have a speaking role — unless they prefer not to!
If your child isn’t quite ready for the spotlight, we have a Theater Tech Team that’s just as important. Tech students will help design, build, and manage the show’s set and props. They’ll attend all rehearsals and work backstage during every performance.
